So it's over. Publication day has come and gone and THIS FAMILY LIFE is out there and it's only 99p for a limited time so get it while it's cheap! After publication day it's always a bit weird. Having been through two pregnancies with my wife, I must say it's a similar feeling. You spend all this time working on something, getting ready for it, planning, and then one day it's out and all the waiting, nervousness, excitement, sort of goes away and it's a strange quietness that you're left with. It's a proud feeling obviously - being an author and a dad - but it's like there's a sudden change in pace and focus. Now I have to stop worrying about it being here and worrying about keeping it alive.
So with that in mind I have some exciting news. Next week I'm starting a blog tour for THIS FAMILY LIFE. I've managed to rope in some very exciting authors to work with on this and some of my favourite blog sites too. I'm excited because in each blog I'm going to be able to talk a little bit about one part of the book and also add short extracts of my favourite scenes. I love writing and reading blogs about books. I love hearing about how other authors work and as part of my blog tour, the authors who are hosting me will also be writing a blog to put on my site.
To give you a taste of some of the authors I'm working with, I have Matt Dunn, author of the bestselling A Day At The Office, Rosie Blake, author of the fabulous How To Get A (Love) Life, Katy Regan, author of the The Story Of You, which is destined to be huge, and Jessica Thompson, author of This Is A Love Story, and the upcoming Paper Swans - and that's just for starters. It's going to be a lot of fun with some very funny and I'm sure thought provoking blogs. So strap yourself in and get ready...THIS FAMILY LIFE Blog Tour is coming!
